The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has officially sold out less than a week after it dropped its 2026 lineup, delivering on both star power and genre-spread in a big way. Headliners Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G will lead the two-weekend event, running April 10-12 and April 17-19 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. For Sabrina Carpenter, this marks a full-circle moment — after her debut in 2024, she expressed wanting to return as a headliner, and she’s finally getting that moment in the desert. Bieber makes his first billed headlining appearance at Coachella, riding momentum from his recent albums Swag and Swag II. And Karol G’s headlining spot solidifies her as one of the most powerful figures in global music right now — after a record-breaking tour and multiple Grammy wins, she’s bringing her “Bichota Season” energy straight to the desert stage.
Next year’s edition is historic in more ways than one. 2026 marks the first time Coachella will feature a Latina headliner, with Karol G leading the charge — but it also breaks an eight-year streak of including música mexicana acts on the bill. The absence is surprising given the genre’s rapid global rise and its dominant presence at Coachella in recent years, with past performances from Peso Pluma, Carín León, Junior H, Iván Cornejo, and Banda MS becoming festival highlights. Still, Latino representation remains strong, with Brazilian pop star Luísa Sonza, Dominican indie-pop singer 54 Ultra, Mexican American artist Los Retros, and Salvadoran cumbia group Los Hermanos Flores joining the roster, alongside a slate of DJs like Gordo, RØZ, Zulan, Mochakk, and Ape Drums of Major Lazer.
Beyond the headliners, the lineup is packed with both returning icons and fresh names that suggest Coachella is leaning into more diversity across styles. The Strokes, The XX, FKA twigs, Iggy Pop, David Byrne, Major Lazer and others anchor the mid-to-late bill. On the rising stars side, acts like Sexyy Red, Teddy Swims, and Katseye will be making notable appearances. One especially intriguing detail is the tease of “The Bunker Debut of Radiohead Kid A Mnesia,” hinting at a special or uncommon set tied to Radiohead’s acclaimed Kid A/Mnesia project.
Both general admission and VIP tickets “completely sold out.” But for those still hoping to go, Coachella is offering a waitlist option. All told, the 2026 lineup seems to strike a balance between the mainstream and the underground — serving up the big names while giving stage time to artists who are pushing boundaries. If you attend next year, expect plenty of surprises, genre-blurring performances, and perhaps one or two of those “don’t miss” sets that only Coachella seems to deliver.
